Corona teacher accused of having sex with students put on leave
Centennial High School in Corona is asking parents of male students to talk with their kids about any contact they had with a teacher there who is accused of having sex with multiple students.
Summer Michelle Hansen, 31, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of multiple counts of engaging in unlawful sex with a minor and oral copulation of a minor. She is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department records.
Police were notified Tuesday by the Corona-Norco Unified School District of a possible inappropriate relationship between Hansen and a former student, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Multiple victims under the age of 18 who have allegedly had sexual contact with the teacher on school grounds have been identified, police said. Hansen has been placed on leave, district officials said.
Two search warrants were served Thursday, one in the city of Corona and one in the county of Riverside, and authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
Officials said anyone with information on the case should contact Det. Mario Hernandez of the Corona Police Department at (951) 279-3659.
