A man looking at Christmas lights Tuesday found San Bernardino’s 45th homicide victim of the year in an empty field, police said.

The man was driving in the 7000 block of North Palm Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and looking at Christmas lights when he saw a man’s body in the field, the Press-Enterprise reported, citing a San Bernardino police statement.

The man called police, who arrived with medical aid, but pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Police said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds. His identity was not released.

Police have no suspect description or motive in the shooting.

The bullet-ridden body was the city’s third homicide in four days, San Bernardino police said.

On Sunday, a Rialto homeless man was found stabbed to death in a ravine off West Donald Street, the Press-Enterprise said. On Saturday night, Kameron Brandon Patterson, 18, was fatally shot after leaving a party on Evans Street. There have not been any arrests in any of the killings.
