Arrest warrant issued for husband in wife’s stabbing death
An arrest warrant has been issued for a 29-year-old man suspected of stabbing his wife to death, San Bernardino police said Thursday.
Edly Atherley is wanted in connection with the slaying of his wife, Ashley Atherley, whose body was found Sunday at her home in the 2000 block of West College Avenue, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.
The 28-year-old victim was found dead inside a bathroom. She had been stabbed, police said.
Investigators believe that she was attacked sometime between Nov. 29 and Dec. 1.
Officers had responded to the home after they were contacted by family members, who were concerned because they had not heard from Ashley Atherley for several days, according to police.
Anyone with information about Edly Atherley is asked to call Det. Al Tello at (909) 384-5747.
