13 hurt but no major injuries in tour bus crash in Baldwin Park
At least 13 people sustained minor injuries when a tour bus ran off the 10 Freeway and into a wash in Baldwin Park early Monday, authorities said.
The wreck occurred about 4:36 a.m. on the westbound 10 Freeway near the Baldwin Park Boulevard offramp.
The exact number of people on board at the time is unclear, but there were at least 37, according to authorities.
The fire department said eight ambulances were used to take injured passengers to an area hospital.
California Highway Patrol Officer Christian Cracraft said the cause of the crash is under investigation but added that there were no major injuries.
Hours after the crash, the bus was still off the side of the road as crews tried to pull it out of the wash.
Cracraft said no lanes of the 10 Freeway were blocked by the crash.
