Volunteer Highland Park football coach held on suspicion of sex assaults
A volunteer football coach at Franklin High School in Highland Park was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting current and former students, police said.
Jaime Jimenez, 46, was arrested Thursday. Los Angeles police detectives said they believe some of his alleged victims might be adults and urged them to come forward.
Jimenez coached football from 1998 until his arrest.
Drake Madison, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman, said the department was withholding the number of alleged victims established so far.
Jimenez was being held at Men’s Central Jail in lieu of $450,000 bail.
