Deaths of man and woman found miles apart in Santa Rosa may be linked, police say
Police say a man and a woman were found dead in Santa Rosa homes miles apart from each other and that it appears the two died in related homicides.
Santa Rosa Police say officers responded to a home Saturday to check on reports of an injured person and found a dead man inside.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that investigators ruled the death a homicide but wouldn’t say how they determined that.
Two hours later, a caller reported finding the body of a woman inside a home about a 10-minute drive from where the first body was found. That case too was ruled a homicide, and police say evidence suggests the killings are related.
The newspaper reports a car connected to the house where the man was found was located a few hundred feet from where the woman’s body was found.
Police declined to release the victims’ names or any other details.
