Armenian genocide ceremonies around the world
An interactive art project called “iwitness,” telling the story of survivors of the Armenian genocide of 1915, was unveiled in Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.

Armenians and others refer to the slayings as genocide, but Turkey says the deaths were caused by a civil war, which had also claimed the lives of thousands of Muslim Ottomans.
