Matthew Perry buys home in Sunset Strip area
Actor Matthew Perry has bought a newly built custom house in the Sunset Strip area for $8.65 million.
Walls of glass off the main living area and master bedroom open to an outdoor dining room, living room, lawn and swimming pool. Steps lead from the infinity pool down to a theater, which has velvet seating for nine and a 2-inch-thick underwater pool window. The 4,000-square-foot home also has a sleek kitchen centered on a lime green island, plus three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Views run from downtown to the ocean.
Since his days as Chandler Bing on “Friends” (1994-2004), Perry starred in “17, Again” (2009) and the comedy series “Mr. Sunshine” (2011). The property he bought came on the market in April at $9.9 million.
Ben Bacal and Dena Luciano of Keller Williams, Hollywood Hills, were the listing agents. Greg Holcomb of Partners Trust, Beverly Hills, represented Perry, the Multiple Listing Service shows.
