We’re going to tell you about two fun food events. So pay attention. And if you like barbecue or Japanese food, get a Sharpie and mark your calendar.

Wolfgang Puck, Francis Mallmann and Adam Perry Lang are having a barbecue at the Hotel Bel-Air. It’s like the culinary version of “The Avengers.” On Sept. 9, the three chefs will each prepare their own barbecue dishes. Puck plans on roasting a whole Sonoma lamb with spiced lamb ribs, quinoa, cucumber salad and saffron raita; Mallmann is cooking a whole rib-eye on the bone and a Scottish salmon over an open fire; and BBQ king Lang will make a 12-hour pit-roasted prime beef brisket and short ribs over burning pecan wood. Dinner is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and is priced at $175 per person, including wine pairings. Guests will be able to buy signed copies of each chef’s most recent cookbook. To make a reservation, or for more information, call (310) 909-1644. 701 Stone Canyon Road, Los Angeles, www.dorchestercollection.com.
