Remember that guy from ‘Top Chef’? He’s cooking on a food truck, and it’s free
Marcel Vigneron, that guy from “Top Chef” who really liked molecular gastronomy, is cooking on a food truck.
But it’s not the type of food you may expect from the “Top Chef” Season 2 runner-up and host of Syfy channel’s “Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen.” Vigneron partnered with Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads for a cross-country food truck tour.
He’ll be making an appearance with the food truck April 1 at the The Americana in Glendale. From noon to 6 p.m., attendees can snag free samples of Vigneron’s Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads recipes.
That translates to dishes made with naan, pita, pizza crust and naan crisps. We don’t anticipate any liquid nitrogen being involved.
Vigneron was also the chef attached to the Gap food truck for a limited run. And yes, Gap had a food truck. It was called Pico de Gap and served tacos by Vigneron in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco in the summer of 2011.
