Thanksgiving is a cook’s holiday. But if you’re not feeling the whole I’m-going-to-spend-all-Thanksgiving-and-the-night-before-in-the-kitchen thing, here are some places that are open Thanksgiving Day, and some restaurants and bakeries preparing all the essentials to order ahead and enjoy at home.
10e restaurant in downtown Los Angeles will be open Thanksgiving Day with a $45, four-course menu. Highlights include hummus with beetroot, cauliflower soup, roasted turkey, lamb chops and rice pudding. Wally’s Beverly Hills will prepare a take-home feast that serves up to 12 people for $300. The meal includes a 16- to 18-pound turkey, green bean ragout, truffle mashed potatoes, pumpkin gratin, stuffing, Brussels sprouts salad, gravy and cranberry sauce. You can order a meal that feeds up to six people for $180. Orders must be placed at least 48 hours before Thanksgiving and can be picked up on Thanksgiving between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. 447 N.
