Got pie? Three ideas for boozy pie milkshakes

There’s usually an abundance of pie at the holiday dessert table. Your mom makes a couple of pumpkin pies, Grandma brings her famous apple pie, and you decide to attempt a banana cream this year.

If you’re not planning on eating pie the entire week after Christmas, for every meal, Marie Callender’s has an idea. It’s called pie-cycling, and it involves plenty of ice cream -- and alcohol.

The brand’s culinary team has come up with three boozy pie milkshake recipes to help get rid of all that leftover pie. Unfortunately, Marie Callender’s will not be serving these milkshakes in its restaurants. The chain does, however, want you to make the drinks at home.

If you have some leftover banana cream pie, try making a milkshake by adding two scoops of vanilla ice cream, one cup of milk, one ounce of RumChata cream liqueur and top it off with some Reddi-wip topping.

For the Dutch apple pie fans, Marie Callender’s has a suggestion for a milkshake with leftover pie, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, one cup of milk, one ounce of salted caramel cream liqueur and Reddi-wip topping.

The cherry almond pie fans may want to make a milkshake with leftover pie, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, one cup of milk and one ounce of whipped cream vodka.
