Woman named Crispi accused of trying to burn down ex’s house with bacon

Ever wished of a way to get back at your ex after a bad breakup? One Utah woman may have tried to get even with a pound of bacon.

Camero Adawn Crispi is accused of trying to set her ex-boyfriend’s house on fire with bacon.

Crispi -- yes, that’s really her name -- was charged Wednesday with arson, burglary, assault by a prisoner and interfering with an arresting officer. She’s accused of leaving the burning bacon on a cookie sheet on top of a burning gas stove.

The ex-boyfriend was not home at the time of the fire, but he had called police and reported receiving multiple phone calls and texts from Crispi on March 14. When an officer arrived at the home, there was smoke coming from the door.

“I observed the burner to be on the setting ‘High’ and the bacon to be severely burned and smoking badly,” the arresting officer wrote in the report.

Crispi was found to be intoxicated, with a blood-alcohol level of 0.346. The officer stopped the fire and arrested Crispi.

When she was later asked at the hospital about the fire, she admitted to trying to get back at the ex-boyfriend, the charges say.

Crispi is due in court April 14.
