On the hunt for those fast-selling Moschino beauty products? We’ll tell you where to find them

Jeremy Scott, the Los Angeles-based fashion designer, was all smiles at a July party at the West Hollywood Moschino boutique in celebration of his first foray into cosmetics. Scott, who also designs an eponymous fashion label, has served as creative director for the Italian fashion house since 2013.

The designer wore black leather motocross pants and the same $225 white Moschino T-shirt with the slogan “Couture is an attitude” on the front and “It’s not a price point” on the back that he donned at the February presentation of his fall 2017 Moschino collection in Milan, Italy.

As for the new beauty line, the Moschino + Sephora Limited-Edition Collection ($18-$54) is available now on sephora.com. According to Sephora’s website, several pieces from the collection are already out of stock online, but limited quantities will be available in stores on Aug. 24.

The collection consists of seven items: A set of five makeup brushes, a compact mirror, an eye sleep mask, two eyeshadow palettes, a highlighting powder duo and a lip gloss-holding necklace that comes with six colored glosses.

Aside from a palette of six eye shadows housed in a miniature Moschino shopping bag, the other pieces are adorned with golden teddy bears, a popular brand motif that dates to 1980s designs by the label’s founder, Franco Moschino. Also, a plush teddy bear clad in a “This is not a Moschino toy” T-shirt serves as the bottle design for the fragrance Toy by Moschino that Scott introduced in 2014.

In keeping with the playful mood of the new cosmetics line, the Moschino boutique was decorated for the soirée with an oversize version of the golden bear, and guests were treated to bear-shaped sugar cookies, miniature bottles of Champagne and piles of candy, including Pop Rocks, Pixy Stix and gummy bears.

“The bear has been such a wonderful mascot for the brand, and so when Sephora wanted to do this collaboration, it was really clear that it had to be around Toy,” Scott said. “I think it’s such a wonderful way to celebrate the bear and to celebrate Moschino and beauty, which is a really big element of everything that I do.”

The looks Scott shows on the runway aren’t usually subtle, and, in his words, his fashion presentations come down to the makeup.

“It’s a way of conveying the ultimate look of the collection,” Scott said. “So as a designer, it’s such an important tool for telling my story. ... I love makeup. I love the way it transforms. You can change your whole attitude with a lipstick. You know what I mean? It’s like having a new pair of shoes. You can think, ‘I want to feel sassy,’ and put on your tried-and-true red [lipstick] or whatever the color. The collection is really fun and playful. It’s unbearably cute.”
