Modern twists on tweed
Tweed, that borrowed-from-the-boys fabric that Coco Chanel began reinventing for female clients in the 1920s, is in soft focus again this season. Vibrant color, metallic threading, embellishments such as ostrich feathers, jewels, sequins and soft fringe feminize nubby tweeds, as do nipped-in silhouettes that showcase hourglass curves.
