Stance and Rihanna sex up socks with holiday collection
Stance has released a collaborative collection with Rihanna, a range of seasonally appropriate ho-ho-hosiery that ranges from sheer anklet-style socks trimmed in real jingle bells to an over-the-knee number with feather boa trim.
Dubbed the Fenty for Stance by Rihanna holiday collection (we had to look it up -- Fenty is RiRi’s last name), it’s the second Rihanna-designed collection since the singer was named contributing creative director of the San Clemente-based sock maker. Like the first collection (Baby Goth Punk, released in September), it treads much of the same bad-girl ground, with style names such as “Pimp Claus” (featuring a Christmasy Rihanna cartoon on each foot), “Deez-Chest-Nutz” (depicting stockings hanging over a crackling fireplace) and “Heaux Heaux” (with “Heaux, Heaux, Heaux” scrolling across the ankle).
In addition to those three designs, which hit at the mid-calf height of traditional socks, the new collection includes a sheer over-the-knee sock rimmed in feather boa (the “Frosty”), an anklet-length version of the same (“Frost Bite”) and our hands-down (make that feet-down) favorite: a sheer anklet embellished around the top with honest-to-goodness bells (“Carols”).
That makes for some festive feet indeed.
The Fenty for Stance by Rihanna holiday collection ($18 to $24) is available now at stance.com and select retailers.
