‘Dancing With the Stars’ finale to shoot live at the Grove, and you’re invited

Teenager Bindi Irwin, “Backstreet Boy” Nick Carter, actor/singer Carlos PenaVega and American hero Alek Skarlatos have had such a great season on “Dancing With the Stars” that they are all moving on to the season finale next week.

Now comes news that the show will shoot the second night of the finale at the Grove in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The public is invited, first-come, first-served, and attendees should be seated by 5:15 p.m. The event begins with a pre-show at 5:30 p.m. followed by the finale from 6 to 8. It will take place near the fountain at the Grove, 189 The Grove Drive.

The evening will include performances by by Andy Grammer and Chaka Kahn.

Hosted by Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, the show is set to air on ABC at 9 that same evening.

Camarillo-based shoe and accessory brand Bed/Stu -- inspired by New York’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood -- is celebrating the grand opening of its first brick-and-mortar store with a party from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. The new store, which carries men’s and women’s shoes, handbags and belts, is in the Malibu Country Mart, 3900 Cross Creek Road. The party is open to the public and is to include a juice bar, monogramming with purchase and DJ Brody Jenner. The store is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Warehouse and sample sales

Jenni Kayne has scheduled a fall sample sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday on the mezzanine level of the Cooper Design Space, 860 S. Los Angeles St., Los Angeles.

A multidesigner sample sale featuring LD Tuttle, Drifter, Shaina Mote, Giu Giu, Strom, Objects Without Meaning, Kieley Kimmel and Summer Bummer is planned this week at 7950 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and noon to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Ruche and ThreadSence’s annual holiday warehouse sale is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Casa Bonita Center, 140 W. Wilshire Ave., Fullerton. The sale includes women’s winter apparel in sizes XS to -XL, accessories, shoes and home decor.

Events

This month’s vintage and designer marketplace Artists & Fleas will pop up in downtown Los Angeles this weekend at 647 Mateo St. The market features more than 75 independent local artists, designers, vintage collectors, craftsmen and food trucks. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
