New York Fashion Week spring 2014: Rachel Zoe review
NEW YORK -- Olivia Palermo, Holland Roden, Katie Cassidy and Leigh Lezark sat front row at Rachel Zoe’s spring runway show Wednesday at New York Fashion Week, where the sweltering, 90-plus-degree heat of the day made the relaxed ease of Zoe’s warm-weather collection look all the more enticing, particularly the breezy, animal print caftan the designer herself was wearing.
The look: Jet set safari.
Key pieces: Caramel leather safari jacket and matching shorts; sleeveless coat dress with caramel leather accents at the shoulders; sequin track pants and matching cropped tank; white perforated leather circle skirt with white tie-front blouse tucked in; bleached denim maxi-skirt and matching button-down shirt tucked in; high-waist faded denim trousers and matching coat; white studded leather tunic dress; gold Birkenstock-like sandals.
The verdict: Extremely wearable and well-merchandised. Summer basics with a hint of L.A. glam at a good price.
