Contemporary Crafts Market returns in time for holiday gift-giving
The holiday edition of the Contemporary Crafts Market -- celebrating its 30th anniversary this year -- is setting up shop in Pasadena on Nov. 13-15.
Around 250 American artisans are expected to participate in the juried show, exhibiting and selling their hand-crafted furnishings, textiles, ceramics, paintings, glass, jewelry and more. You can get an idea of some of the work to be exhibited and sold on Pinterest.
The event is at the Pasadena Convention Center’s Exhibit Hall, 300 E. Green St. Regular admission is $8 for adults, with children 12 and under free, but free passes are available on the craft market website.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 13 and 14 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 15.

Macy’s is teaming up for a third year with Clothes4Souls to distribute coats to needy people across the U.S. From Oct. 27 through Nov. 2, Macy’s will donate one new coat for every coat purchased (up to 50,000 coats) in the men’s, women’s, juniors’ and children’s outerwear departments at Macy’s stores and macys.com. At the same time, Macy’s is offering outerwear at 30% to 60% off.

Ted Baker London has opened a 956-square-foot boutique at Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Road, Malibu. The store carries men’s and women’s clothing and lifestyle items.
Sample sales:
ICA has scheduled a sample sale Friday offering discounts on brands including Style Stalker, Jet Set Diaries, WYLDR and more. The sale is at 850 S. Broadway, Ste. 300, Los Angeles. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
