USA Network renews ‘Suits’ for a fifth season
USA Network is suitably impressed with its legal drama “Suits” -- and has renewed it for a fifth season.
The fifth outing will be dressed up in 16 episodes and will premiere next summer.
The series, starring Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, is currently in the middle of its fourth season -- one that has the hour-long show atop its summer game yet again among the advertiser-coveted 18-to-49-year-old demographic with an average of 1.6 million viewers, and 4 million total viewers.
“ ‘Suits’ continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering provocative storytelling and complex characters that viewers can’t get enough of,” said Chris McCumber, president of USA Network, in a statement. “With some of the best writing on television, and a brilliant ensemble cast, we anticipate a spectacular fifth season for a series that has become a marquee property for USA.”
Its midseason finale is set for Wednesday, Aug. 20.
