NBC’s ‘Siberia’ left out in the cold by ‘Under the Dome’ ratings
NBC’s “Siberia” may end up trapped in a nightmare -- of bad ratings.
The drama, a “fake reality” show about would-be TV contestants dropped in a location where things start getting weird in a “Lost” kind of way, premiered Monday at 10 p.m. to a modest 3.2 million total viewers, according to early numbers from Nielsen.
That was no match for CBS’ rival show about trapped people, “Under the Dome,” in which small-town residents find themselves suddenly imprisoned beneath a gigantic transparent dome. Even though its numbers dipped considerably from last week’s premiere, “Dome” still rounded up an impressive 11.5 million viewers.

In the key demographic category of adults age 18 to 49, “Dome” more than doubled the numbers for “Siberia.”
That’s bad news for NBC, which was hoping that “Siberia” could prove to be a summer hit.
