Show runner Dan Harmon reportedly to return to ‘Community’
Dan Harmon is reportedly moving back to the “Community” he created.
Sources close to the NBC sitcom -- which Harmon left last year following widely publicized clashes with star Chevy Chase -- said a deal is expected to close next week that would reinstate Harmon as show runner.
NBC did not immediately respond to requests for confirmation.
Writers David Guarascio and Moses Port oversaw Season 4 of the cult comedy, which concluded last month. Some fans criticized the direction “Community” took in Harmon’s absence, though ratings remained steady. The show is slated to return for a fifth season.
Harmon first hinted at his reinstatement last month on a podcast. Then early Saturday, in a response to a fan’s query on Twitter, he wrote, “Yes yes yes! I’m back I’m back I’m back.”
