Neil Patrick Harris talks DOMA, ending ‘HIMYM’ and hosting duties
Alas, a rap-sung duet did not materialize during our live video chat Wednesday with Neil Patrick Harris -- but some singing definitely happened. And a bit of dancing.
But first, some reflection.
Harris spent some of his morning tweeting about Wednesday’s Supreme Court rulings on the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8, and chat participants were interested in knowing his thoughts on it all beyond his brief tweets. Harris kept it simple.

“I don’t have much of an interest in making some big statement about it,” he said. “I think the Supreme Court spoke pretty well themselves. It’s certainly a good day for equality on a whole bunch of different levels. And, uh, huzzah!”
Then it was on to the 125,325,256 other things going on in the 40-year-old actor’s life: the final season of “How I Met Your Mother,” hosting the Tonys, hosting the Emmys, gearing up to star in the Broadway production of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” etc, etc.
