New Amy & Tina? Kat Dennings, Beth Behrs host People’s Choice Awards
There’s a new power hosting duo in town. CBS has tapped “2 Broke Girls” stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs to emcee the People’s Choice Awards in January.
Tuesday’s announcement marks a change for the awards show, which was hosted by “The Big Bang Theory’s” Kaley Cuoco for the last two years.
Hosting gigs these days typically go to series stars the network wants to showcase, and Dennings and Behrs fit the bill for CBS. The network is also probably hoping for a bit of Golden Globes-like magic as well, after co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have reinvigorated that awards show for NBC.

CBS also revealed the nominees for the awards, which were based on a record 160 million online votes, according to the network.
The top nominated TV series was Fox’s “Glee,” which drew eight nods.
Now in its 40th year, the People’s Choice Awards are owned by consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble. Mark Burnett will serve as executive producer.
CBS will air the People’s Choice on Jan. 8.
