Pivot is pressing the record button again: Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “HitRecord on TV” will get a second season.

The network announced the news Saturday at the Television Critics Assn. press tour in Pasadena, one week before the eclectic series makes its bow.

The variety series, which Gordon-Levitt likens to a modern-day “Muppet Show,” features a hodgepodge of video shorts, songs, and other creative content plucked from Gordon-Levitt’s open-collaborative community, hitRECord, which has already produced a number of books and albums.

“HitRecord on TV” will make its traditional TV debut on Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes.
