‘Honey Boo Boo’ clan takes on ‘Cake Boss’ crew on ‘Family Feud’
Before reality TV, we had to rely on “Family Feud” for our occasional voyeuristic glimpses into the domestic lives of America. Now Honey Boo Boo, Mama June and the rest of the rural Georgia clan of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” are going old school with their own appearance on “Family Feud.”
The Shannon-Thompson family is set to face off against fellow reality show stars from its sister TLC show, “Cake Boss.”
The showdown, with Steve Harvey as host of the current interation of “Feud,” will film in Atlanta on July 22.
On the “Honey Boo Boo” side are “Mama June” Shannon, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Anna “Chickadee” Shannon, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson and, of course, Honey Boo Boo herself, Alana Thompson.
On the “Cake Boss” side are Buddy Valastro, his sisters Maddalena Castano, Lisa Gonzalez, Mary Sciarrone and wife Elisabetta Valastro.
Both sides will be competing for money to donate to their favorite charities. The new season of the syndicated “Feud” will premiere Sept. 16. “Cake Boss” is currently in its sixth season and “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” will premiere its second season on Wednesday with a “Watch n’ Sniff” event featuring scented cards to add to the “Honey Boo Boo” experience.
