‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ family in car accident
Members of the Thompson family of the TLC reality series “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” were in a car accident in their home state of Georgia on Monday night. But according to family matriarch, Mama June Shannon, they’re all OK.
In a statement, Shannon said, “As many of you have heard we were in a car accident last night. It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck. We are definitely really sore today, but our top priority is to celebrate Pumpkin’s birthday. She turned 14 today and no matter how sore we feel we are going to go out and celebrate. As always we want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.”

According to multiple reports, Shannon, along with Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon were in the car with Mama June’s husband, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, driving when they were struck by another vehicle.
The accident was first reported by TMZ. The family was taken to a nearby hospital, but escaped serious injury. No members of the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” film crew were with the family at the time of the accident.
The show’s third season is set to premiere Jan. 16.
