Netflix and Lorelai Gilmore, herself, Lauren Graham, finally broke their silence this afternoon by taking to Twitter to announce the big news.

Aside from Graham, Netflix has also confirmed that series regulars Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop will be returning for the revival, along with Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena.

All new episodes will be written and directed by “Gilmore Girls” creator and executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino.

Although no date has been set for the return of the series to Netflix, start preparing for the binge of a lifetime in true Gilmore style -- with copious amounts of pizza and stockpiles of candy that would make Willy Wonka himself blush.
