Fox renews ‘New Girl’ for Season 6 with Megan Fox returning
Maybe they should rename it “Not So New Girl”?
Fox announced Tuesday it has renewed “New Girl” for a sixth season.
The sitcom was created by Liz Meriwether and stars Zooey Deschanel as a young woman who moves into a loft with three male roommates after a bad breakup.
Megan Fox, who joined the show in its fifth season while star Deschanel was on maternity leave, will also be returning.
“Every network comedy should aspire to what Liz Meriwether is achieving in ‘New Girl,’ with its bravura dialogue, inventive and witty performances by the talented cast and emotionally engaging storytelling,” said David Madden, Fox Broadcasting’s entertainment president, in a statement.
“New Girl” costars Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone.
