Donnie and Mark Wahlberg team up for A&E reality series
Think of it as “The Real Entourage”: Boston brothers Donnie and Mark Wahlberg are bringing a new reality series about their family to A&E.
“The Wahlburgers” will follow the one-time New Kid on the Block and the man formerly known as Marky Mark as they return to their hometown to team up with their older brother, Paul, on -- you guessed it -- a new hamburger restaurant.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the entire Wahlberg family as they graciously lift the curtain to share this new side of their story,” said David McKillop, executive vice president and general manager of A&E Network.

The restaurant will be a hangout spot for members of Donnie and Mark’s original entourage, including Johnny “Drama” Alves and Henry “Nacho” Laun. The matriarch of the Wahlberg clan, Alma, will also feature prominently in the series, which premieres Jan. 22.
Mark was an executive producer on the HBO series “Entourage,” loosely inspired by his own experience as a working-class kid turned Hollywood star. He’s proven to be a savvy producer of non-autobiographical fare too, with “Boardwalk Empire” and “How to Make it in America.”
Donnie currently stars in CBS’ “Blue Bloods,” about a family of New York City police officers.
