Cory Monteith’s ‘Glee’ costars tweet shock, disbelief over his death

Iqbal Theba had only three words: “OMG!! My Cory...”

The death of “Glee” actor Cory Monteith prompted tweets of shock and disbelief from members of the show’s cast and crew, including the reaction of Theba, who plays Principal Figgins.

Monteith was found dead Saturday in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada.

Others in the “Glee” cast and crew tweeted their reactions.

“I have no words!” said Dot-Marie Jones, who plays coach Shannon Bieste. “My heart is broken. Cory was not only a hell of a friend he was one amazing [man] that I will hold close to my heart forever.... I am blessed to have worked with him and love him so much! My heart is with [his] family and our whole Glee family! I love you all!”

Kristin Chenoweth, who has guest-starred on the series, tweeted, “RIP Cory Monteith. You will be loved. Always.”

The show’s music producers both tweeted expressions of grief.

Alex Anders said: “Heartbroken by the loss of my friend @CoryMonteith Praying for his family and loved ones. Such a good hearted man will be sorely missed.”

Tweeted Adam Anders: “Words can’t express my grief. I lost a brother today. God please take care of my friend @CoryMonteith.”

Mark Saling, who plays Puck on the show, had only a one-word tweet: “no.”
