Conan O’Brien finds a new use for the Richard Sherman rant
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman stirred up a lot of discussion with his rant after the NFC title game in which he trashed San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree. But Conan O’Brien saw a way for Sherman to maximize his profit off the rant.
On “Conan” on Monday night, O’Brien played the Sherman rant with an added twist: The rant became an endorsement of Crabtree & Evelyn, the company that makes body and home products using more than 160 “natural botanical ingredients.”

Would the notoriously blunt Sherman ever find a way to turn himself into a spokesman for a company known mainly for skin-care lotions? Doubtful. But this “commercial” is still fun to watch.
Sherman has since apologized for his rant, which he delivered in an interview with Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews after the Seahawks beat the 49ers, sending Seattle to the Super Bowl.
“I apologize for attacking an individual and taking the attention away from the fantastic game by my teammates,” Sherman said in a text message to ESPN. “That was not my intent.”
