“The Good Wife” is about to lose another key cast member.

Archie Panjabi, who plays the mysterious bisexual investigator Kalinda Sharma on the acclaimed CBS drama, is leaving the show and has signed a development/holding deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Panjabi, who won an Emmy in 2010 for her portrayal on the show, is set to headline a drama pilot.

“Archie is an amazing actress who helped build Kalinda from the ground up as an enigmatic, powerful and sexy character,” “The Good Wife” executive producers Robert and Michelle King said in a statement.

“It’s been a pleasure to write for her, and we’ll be sad to see her go; but we still have her for the rest of season six, so let’s not exhaust our good-byes yet. We look forward to meeting all the wonderful new characters Archie brings to the screen. But either way, we’re keeping the boots.”

Panjabi is the second major character to depart “The Good Wife” in the last two seasons. Josh Charles, who played attorney Will Gardner, a love interest for the married title character Alicia Florrek (Julianne Margulies), left the series last season to pursue other opportunities.
