Video: Watch Andy Samberg’s Emmy-tease twist on ‘Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television’
With just over a month left before the 67th Emmy Awards, Fox has released a teaser for the event, featuring first-time host Andy Samberg. In the clip, Samberg apes George Carlin’s famous 1972 “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television” monologue, but instead lists “ the seven words that sound dirty that you can say.”
The words, which range from corkscrew to kumquat, are all above board, but will likely make any network censor with an itchy trigger finger somewhat twitchy.

Samberg reported at the Television Critics Assn. press tour in Beverly Hills earlier in the month that he was consuming as much of the nominated programming as possible and that while Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are “the standard” by which all Emmy hosts are judged, he’s hopeful that he can come up with his own spin on the gig.
The Emmy Award nominations were announced on July 16.
