The final missing piece has dropped — like a wrecking ball — on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony next week with news that Miley Cyrus will do the honors of welcoming in Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

Hall officials had withheld the name of the act selected to induct Jett when the main roster of performers and speech givers was announced last month.

In addition, Hall officials added Southern rock singer-songwriter Zac Brown to the performer list. Brown will join Rage Against the Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello to salute the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

The ceremony is set for April 18 at Public Hall in Cleveland as the ceremony rotates back to the hometown of the Hall of Fame and Museum. Next year the induction dinner and concert is scheduled to return to Los Angeles.

As previously announced, Paul McCartney will induct Ringo Starr, Patti Smith is on tap to induct Lou Reed, Stevie Wonder will welcome Bill Withers, Fall Out Boy is bringing in Green Day, John Mayer ushers in Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, Peter Wolf will handle Butterfield and Steve Cropper will bring in the “5” Royales.

Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh and Jimmie Vaughan also are among the lineup of performers for the event, which will be filmed and shown as a highlights special premiering May 30 on HBO.
