Black Keys to headline 2013 KROQ Weenie Roast on May 18
The Black Keys, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Vampire Weekend top the lineup for the 2013 KROQ Weenie Roast, coming up May 18 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, KROQ officials announced Monday.
Tickets go on sale this Friday for the annual indie rock-punk-pop show, which this year also includes Of Monsters and Men, Silversun Pickups, Jimmy Eat World, Imagine Dragons Awolnation, Atlas Genius, C2C, Fitz & the Tantrums, the Neighbourhood, Capital Cities, New Politics and Twenty One Pilots.
Tickets are available only through Ticketmaster, and will be sold only to KROQ Street Team members, who will be given a password on the radio station’s website at KROQ.com. The festival benefits the Surfrider Foundation and Heal the Bay. Full details are available on the website.
The KROQ Weenie Roast, which often has featured surprise guests in addition to the announced performers, was first held in 1993, making this the 20th anniversary of the event.
