Just in time for its upcoming reunion tour, Fleetwood Mac announced Wednesday that it’s preparing a lavish reissue of “Rumours,” the 1977 album that launched the group to superstardom and spawned such FM-radio staples as “Don’t Stop,” “Go Your Own Way” and “Dreams.”

Due out Jan. 29 from Rhino Records, the set will hit stores in two editions, one “expanded” and the other “deluxe,” according to a statement. The former is to include the original album, live recordings from Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 tour and unreleased outtakes from the “Rumours” sessions; the latter will tack on more outtakes, a “making-of” documentary and a copy of the album on 140-gram vinyl.

As frontwoman Stevie Nicks told The Times earlier this month, Fleetwood Mac is set to launch a North American trek -- the band’s first since 2009 -- on April 4 in Columbus, Ohio. The tour, which will feature Nicks along with singer-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, bassist John McVie and drummer Mick Fleetwood, is scheduled to stop at the Hollywood Bowl on May 25 before wrapping on June 12 in Detroit.

Nicks said the group is working on new material. Its last studio disc, “Say You Will,” came out in 2003.
