Fox yanks struggling ‘Ben and Kate’ from schedule
Fox is pulling its struggling freshman comedy “Ben and Kate” off the schedule.
Starting next Tuesday, full-hour installments of “Raising Hope” will air from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. throughout February sweeps, with the exception of Feb. 19, when the comedy will be paired with a repeat of “New Girl.”
On Tuesday, March 3, the season 11 premiere of “Hell’s Kitchen” will air at 8 p.m., and will lead into “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” for the remainder of the season. “Raising Hope” will have a one-hour season finale on March 28 following “American Idol.”
“Ben and Kate,” which stars Dakota Johnson and Nat Faxon as odd-couple siblings, has scored lackluster ratings since its premiere. Fox says the show will return to the schedule at an unspecified date.
