Justin Bieber posts racy cartoon, gets support for Frank comment
Justin Bieber made the hearts of Beliebers worldwide pitter-patter on overdrive when he posted a racy cartoon picture of himself, shirtless, embracing a topless brown-haired girl in bed. The girl was labeled a “Belieber.”
Talk about throwing red meat to the masses.
Sigh.
The “Baby” singer has been scrutinized since the weekend he visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and left a 20-word note in the museum’s guest book. He said Frank, who died of typhus while imprisoned at a Nazi concentration camp, was a “great girl.” But social media exploded because he also added, “hopefully she would have been a Belieber,” referring to the nickname for his fans.
Frank’s stepsister Eva Schloss has since told the U.K.’s Telegraph that the uproar was “childish.”

“She probably would have been a fan,” Schloss said. “Why not? He’s a young man and she was a young girl, and she liked film stars and music. They make a lot of fuss about everything that is connected with Anne Frank.”
Bieber’s guitarist, Dan Kanter, also told the Hollywood Reporter that Bieber was “moved by his experience” and “inspired by Anne’s brave and ultimately tragic story.”
Fresh off the controversy, the 19-year-old pop star has fired back at the media with even more shirtless selfies on his Instagram photo-sharing site.
“‘Uh oh @justinbieber is losing it taking shirtless pics in the mirror’ -funny people,” he captioned an ab-flashing shot.
“‘Breaking news worldwide @justinbieber just posted 2 shirtless pictures he must be going crazy’ -funny people #forthefansanyways#dontbecreepin :p,” he wrote on another, keeping his six-pack and tattoos in full view.
However, it isn’t clear if the Justin-and-a-Belieber cartoon -- posted Tuesday -- is simply fan art that the Biebs shared with his followers or something he commissioned himself. What we do know is that the image definitely gave fans something to “Believe” in, with comments from around the world being posted on the photo. Here’s a selection:
- “@justinbieber can that be me and you?” one fan wrote.
- “That’s me & my husband so back off....”
- “Is dat you Selena”
- “I’m her.”
- “#cutforjustinbieber”
- “Crying”
- “That will be me one day, hopefully...”
- “Omg Justin don’t post pics of us in the bed”
- And our personal favorite: “I can just see the media ‘Popstar Justin Bieber has just posted a picture on his Instagram of him and a belieber cuddling together after posting a caption for one of his pictures ‘love is in the air’. Is Justin Bieber in a secret relationship with a belieber?!? Were those shirtless photos for him new gf?!? Oh boy do those people make me laugh.”
Well, @biebersboyblue, they make us laugh too. Color us predictable.
Anyway, the Biebs has been yo-yoing between being sympathetic and obnoxious since his breakup with Selena Gomez and kicking off the European leg of his world tour. The little insight he provided with his “All Around the World” video was quickly shaded by his Frank note, and his unfettered obsession with his newly toned body is still making us shake our heads.
