Halle Berry, Gabriel Aubry reach ‘amicable’ but mysterious deal
Halle Berry and her ex-boyfriend have reached an amicable agreement, their attorneys said in a handwritten note passed to reporters outside court Thursday.
“The parties have reached an amicable agreement,” read the note from Blair Berk (her attorney) and Shawn Chapman Holley (his). No details were provided.
The custody battle, which has seen Berry losing a bid to relocate daughter Nahla to France with her and fiance Olivier Martinez, had headed back to court Tuesday and continued Thursday before the deal was struck.
Aubry is still due in court Dec. 13 after being arrested on Thanksgiving Day following a brawl outside Berry’s house with Martinez. Aubry was dropping off Nahla, the daughter he shares with Berry, when the fight broke out.

The fight left Aubry, a model, horribly bruised in the face. He filed a civil complaint naming Martinez as the aggressor in the smackdown. Martinez said it was the other way around.
Berry and Nahla’s babysitter saw Aubry initiate a fight by pushing and shoving Martinez, law enforcement sources told L.A. Now. Those witness statements, which figured into the decision to arrest Aubry, will also be part of the city attorney’s decision whether to file charges in the case.
However, a source told the New York Post on Friday that “the agreement extends beyond the family law court,” implying that the Thanksgiving fight was included in the deal. Both sides have been dueling with restraining orders since the incident.
Berry, incidentally, is quietly trying to sell the Hollywood Hills home outside which the brawl took place, Hot Property reports. The asking price is reportedly $15 million.
