‘Batman v Superman’ trailer shows the superheroes ... working together?
The latest “Batman v Superman” is jampacked with comic book goodies. From Ben Affleck’s “Batman voice” to Jesse Eisenberg’s loony Lex Luthor (who already is having delusions of grandeur). But the big twist happens when Wonder Woman shows up.
Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” takes place after the 2013 Superman reboot, “Man of Steel.” And as you can see from the footage, not everyone is pleased about the damage Superman brought down on this planet fighting General Zod (Michael Shannon) in the sky.
More importantly, the new Bruce Wayne (Affleck) seems pretty miffed about the whole ravaging-the-planet thing. And now the two are meeting thanks to an unhinged Luthor. It’s pretty interesting.
Perhaps the most revealing part of this trailer is the end, when Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) pops in to save the day — thus revealing that this movie might not actually be about Superman fighting Batman at all, but rather Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman fighting some CG creation from Luthor together. *Shrugs.* All right then.
“Batman v Superman” will premiere on March 25.
