Frosted oddity dubbed the ‘Trump Cake’ immediately becomes an Internet meme
The gigantic frosted bust is of presidential candidate Donald Trump and it’s making sugary waves on the Internet. A fairly large re-creation of Trump’s head, made entirely out of cake, appeared outside of Trump Tower in New York City on election day.
The cake oddity was swiftly carted off, but its sweet legacy shall live on forever thanks to the Internet and the folks who promptly turned #TrumpCake into a meme.
The baked candidate was originally spotted by ABC News national assignment editor Jason Volack on the street outside of the tower.
According to the folks handling the frosted curiosity (in this video from Katherine Lam on Twitter), the chocolate cake was meant to be a gift.
The cake, however, was not allowed inside Trump Tower. Instead, it was sent to the Trump campaign’s election-night watch party at the Hilton.
Although currently not out for public viewing, it’s presence will forever be immortalized on social media.
