Shia LaBeouf needs stitches after cutting his head, hand on ‘American Honey’ set
Shia LaBeouf was injured late Tuesday night on the set of his latest film, “American Honey.”
The embattled actor, who stars in British director Andrea Arnold’s indie, “sustained minimal injuries” while filming, his rep said in a statement to The Times on Wednesday.
“As protocol, production sought out medical attention, and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head,” his publicist, Melissa Kates, said.
The 29-year-old is due back on the set Thursday.
Variety reported that the injury occurred in North Dakota while LaBeouf was shooting a scene that called for him to put his head through a glass window — and that’s how he cut his head and index finger.
The actor reportedly was treated at a hospital and received 20 stitches and 13 staples, according to TMZ, which first reported the mishap.
