Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber reportedly back on (feel free to yawn)
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber might be back on again as a couple. Total deja vu, right?
This time, according to Us Weekly, the “Come & Get It” songstress, 21, and embattled “Baby” singer, 20, hung out over the weekend and attended video director Alfredo Flores’ birthday celebration at Bootsy Bellows -- as seen in a video posted by mutual friend Khalil.
“They spent all day riding together on a Can-Am Spyder on Sunset Boulevard,” a source told the mag. “Justin drove while Selena sat on the back holding on to [him] ... He was incredibly sweet with her and they looked super happy and in love.”
However, another source seemed less optimistic about the couple’s longevity.
“It is always on-and-off,” a source close to Bieber said. “They never stop talking, even when you don’t see them together — that never changes. They fight, take a break, and then get back together. No surprise that it happened once again.”
Gomez and Bieber began dating back in 2010 and have called it quits several times since, with their big split making headlines in January 2013.
No matter their relationship status, the pair have been spotted together frequently, notably at the Coachella Valley Music Festival in April and in quick social-media posts by both that have been promptly removed.
Incidentally, Gomez, the former Disney star who spent about two weeks in rehab in January, had a noisy party at her Hidden Hills home on Tuesday and neighbors called the police to complain about the rowdy get-together around 11:30 p.m., TMZ reported.
Revelers were warned and asked to turn down the volume.
Gomez reportedly told her family that she’s back with the Biebs because he’s cleaned up his act, the site said, but given her behavior over the past few days, her family and close friends are none too pleased about their reunion.
Bieber’s so-called act was sullied once again in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the YouTube sensation-turned-pop star apologized twice over videos that showed him using the N-word when he was 14 and 15.
He got some good news too: The Los Angeles city attorney’s office on Monday declined to file a misdemeanor charge against Bieber over a May cellphone-snatching allegation, according to L.A. Now. The L.A. County district attorney’s office last week declined to file a felony charge in the same case, and a no-jail, no-probation deal was rumored to be imminent in his Miami arrest on suspicion of DUI.
However, he still could face vandalism charges stemming from a January egg-throwing incident in Calabasas.
