Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. expecting baby No. 2

Sarah Michelle Gellar is pregnant, expecting a second child with husband Freddie Prinze Jr., according to several reports out Thursday.

The “Ringer” star and Prinze, married for almost 10 years, already have young daughter Charlotte Grace, who was born in September 2009.

“She and Freddie are thrilled,” a friend of the acting duo told Us Magazine, which first reported the news. “They’re amazing parents.”

“They love their little girl more than anything in the world,” a source close to the couple told People, “and know that love will only multiply.”

Gellar, who turned 35 this month, legally changed her name to Sarah Michelle Prinze in 2007 as a five-year engagement present to her husband. She still uses her maiden name professionally, however, so call her Mrs. Prinze or Ms. Gellar – heck, these days you might not get a butt-kicking if you dared to call her Buffy, though that wasn’t always the case.

She told Bullett in February that during her time as the star of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” which ran from 1997 to 2003, “If you’d called me Buffy I would probably have been really annoyed.

“Now, of course, I get it and I’m appreciative of it. But that’s something that comes with maturity, which most people don’t have when they’re 24 years old.”
