Sandra Bullock rocks out fab frocks at Venice Film Festival [Poll]
Sandra Bullock wowed on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival this week.
The Oscar-winning actress hit the coastal Italian city for the opening of her sci-fi thriller “Gravity,” costarring George Clooney. In the film, which was presented out of competition at the festival, the two play astronauts flung into deep space when a shower of debris destroys their shuttle.
On Wednesday, Bullock kicked off opening day of the 70th Venice Film Festival when she and Clooney arrived in -- what else -- a water taxi.

The actress kept it casual in a neon-bright, color-blocked halter dress from Alex Perry’s 2014 resort collection for the film’s photo call at Venice Lido. Bullock left her hair down and wind-blown (she arrived in a speedboat after all), and her gilded Giuseppe Zanotte strappy sandals were her only accessory.
Later that evening, Bullock went into glam mode at the Palazzo del Cinema just before the screening of her film, which is already generating Oscar buzz.
The 49-year-old donned a strikingly scarlet strapless gown from J. Mendel that featured an asymmetrical top and a high-low bottom, which gave way to a racy slit down the front of the frock. Bullock pulled her hair up in a messy up-do and accessorized the look with Martin Katz jewelry and black Roger Vivier accessories.
