Many poetic tributes have been made to Robin Gibb, the beloved singer who passed on Sunday after a long battle with cancer, including some 140-character thoughts from his Hollywood admirers.

“We have lost a truly brilliant musician today. One of my idols. My heart goes out to the Gibb family in this time of sorrow...RIP Robin,” wrote Justin Timberlake, who famously portrayed Robin several times on “Saturday Night Live” alongside Jimmy Fallon’s Barry Gibb.

An embattled John Travolta spoke out (despite his ongoing masseuse scandal), releasing a statement to E! News saying, “I thought Robin was one of the most wonderful people — gifted, generous, and a real friend to everyone he knew.”

“Thank you for all the dance memories to your music,” offered actress Rosario Dawson, who joined others like Stevie Nicks, Sarah Silverman, Peter Frampton and Ringo Starr in memorial tweets.

Gibb was cagey about his stomach and colon issues until the end of his life, though in February the disco hit-maker admitted to having a “growth” removed and that his recovery was nothing short of spectacular.

April saw a bout with pneumonia for Gibb, combatted with a medically induced coma. He emerged healthy but almost immediately declined in his struggle with colorectal cancer. He died in London.
