Rashida Jones urges female celebs to keep their privates private
“Parks and Recreation” actress Rashida Jones has something to say, so listen up.
“This week’s celeb news takeaway: she who comes closest to showing the actual inside of her vagina is most popular,” Jones wrote Saturday on Twitter. “#stopactinglikewhores.” So far, the tweet has more than 1,000 retweets.
Well, let’s see, as of late there’s been Miley Cyrus’ naked-but-for-body-paint photos, Nicki Minaj’s photo of her bare breasts covered only by leopard-print pasties and, oh yes, how could one forget, Kim Kardashian’s booty-baring selfie that took the interwebs by storm.
Got it, Ms. Jones. “There is a whole generation of young women watching,” the 37-year-old wrote in what was a series of tweets. “Sure, be SEXY but leave something to the imagination.”
And the Harvard grad added, “Let me clarify. I don’t shame ANYone for anything they choose to do with their lives or bodies…BUT I think we ALL need to take a look at what we are accepting as ‘the norm.’ ”
She ended her words of advice with a little tease, writing, “Also, calling on all men to show me dat ass.”
And how about when a smart, sassy lady shows off her opinion? That makes headlines too. Wink, wink.
Fans can catch Jones on “Parks and Recreation” until early next year, when the actress, along with Rob Lowe, will leave the NBC comedy series. She can also be spotted strolling around the streets of New York with boyfriend, “Saturday Night Live” scribe and fellow Harvard alum Colin Jost.
