Prince George registered; no pressure for Harry to produce heir
Prince William and his wife Catherine have officially registered their nearly 3-week-old son, Prince George Alexander Louis.
Our favorite part of the form? His parents’ occupations. Wills, 31, is listed as “Prince of the United Kingdom,” rather than Royal Air Force helicopter pilot, and Kate, also 31, is listed “Princess of the United Kingdom.” Tony job descriptions, no?
Ordinarily, parents have to go to the registrar’s office within 42 days of their child’s birth. But Georgie is no ordinary baby. Instead, the deputy registrar of Westminster, Alison Cathcart, paid Kensington Palace a visit, according to the Daily Mail. (Oh, to be Ms. Cathcart!)

“It was a pleasure,” she said. “Westminster City Council registered the birth of the Queen and Prince Charles and princes William and Harry, so it’s great to see that tradition continue.”
Wills filled out the standard form for the birth of “His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.”
Such a long name for such a tiny guy!

The rest of the document bore many royal deets too, including baby George’s birthplace (St. Mary’s Hospital, Westminster), William’s birth place (Paddington, Westminster), Kate’s birth place (Reading), Wills’ full name (His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Duke of Cambridge), Kate’s full name (Catherine Elizabeth Middleton) and their usual address (Kensington Palace, London).
And papa prince autographed the document with a simple scripted scrawl that said: “William.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry on Friday said he was relieved that his brother and his wife had successfully produced a royal heir, a.k.a. Prince George.

The 28-year-old royal, relegated to fourth in line for the British throne when his nephew was born July 22, was speaking at an event for the Royal Marines and their family at Her Majesty’s Naval Base in Devonport, Plymouth.
The prince was there to launch the newly built Royal Marines Tamar, a center that will be used by operational and training units for small-craft crews of landing craft, hovercraft and fast boats.
“My father is over the moon to be a grandfather,” Harry said Friday of his father, Prince Charles (via People).
“No pressure then?” asked Tasha Reilly, 35, a guest of her partner, Lt. Col. Tristan Harris, 42.
“No, he’s got one [grandchild] now, it will be fine,” Harry said. “The pressure’s off now.”
Guess so, because that would put his child as fifth in line, assuming Georgie boy doesn’t have any other siblings ...
