Pamela Anderson completes NYC marathon, tweets aftermath photo
Pamela Anderson ran the New York City Marathon on Sunday and has photographic evidence to prove just how brutal the aftermath can be.
The “Baywatch” babe joined Sean Penn’s J/P Haitian Relief Organization team along with a slew of other people who ran the race Sunday to support residents of the poverty-stricken Caribbean country.
“Thank You New York City!,” the “Dancing With the Stars” alum said, sharing a photo of a marathon medal and adding, “An amazing finish for #teamjphro at #ingnycmarathon. Keep supporting our work in Haiti.”

But that isn’t the photo that has us snickering with delight and simultaneously saying, “Awww!”
“Ouch!” the 46-year-old wrote, tweeting a photo of herself wearing a nightie while lying in bed with her face covered with a runners bib, ice packs on her leg and groin, and other marathon paraphernalia strewn around hair.
Well, 26.2 miles of endurance will do that to a person. And no matter how many beaches she ran across wearing a red one-piece on “Baywatch,” running a marathon is no small feat.
Anderson, who ran the race with her brother Gerry, finished the race at a respectable 5 hours, 41 minutes, the New York Daily News reported, and suffered a minor leg injury during the marathon. She ran concealing her newly shorn pixie cut with a backwards baseball cap.
She also raised $75,914 as of Monday afternoon, and the team raised a collective $291,868, just a little more than half of the $500,000 goal that Anderson originally announced.
“People do things for other people that they wouldn’t ordinarily do for themselves,” Anderson said the newspaper when she started training. “Haiti is such a magical place. It has a real special place in my heart.... I have a lot of faith that I will be able to get through it. I’m committed. People tell me that I really don’t know what I’m getting into, but that’s kind of the story of my life. I’ll just go with it.”
